Unlawful?

To open this up, I am in no way condoning this practice, but I think that terms need to be defined.

In a BBC article today,  Sarah Leah Whitson, Middle East director at Human Rights Watch, said that knowingly putting civilians in harms way is unlawful. Who says?  I very much doubt that the Palestinians have such a law so how can it be unlawful?  It can not be illegal unless there is a law to break.  Maybe, they are under the laws of Israel or other nation, in which case I am sure they have broken many other laws besides that one.

If she wanted to claim that wrong is being done, she has to make claim to a higher code than “law”.  Hmmm, could there be a moral law/code that people must follow?  Who makes up that code?  If it is not against the law to knowingly put a civilian in danger, what makes it wrong?  Must be a higher power than man made laws and codes otherwise one can not just make it wrong because they do not like it?

Things to ponder.

  1. Is this what Romans 2:14-15 talks about?

Rom 2:14-15 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.)
